Peasant Wedding Foundation
At the end of the 90s, IMSA worked for a long time intensively on new
ideas about agriculture under the leadership of Dick de Zeeuw, former
chairman of the KVP (Catholic people's party) and former Chairman of
the Board of the Agricultural University in Wageningen. De Zeeuw – a
long-time member of the board of IMSA – made a case for a new,
sustainable form of agriculture and IMSA offered him a place in the specially established Peasant Wedding Foundation to develop
this. The work
group De Zeeuw included, in addition to the founder himself, Wolfgang
Albrecht, Wouter Tims and Wouter van Dieren. The foundation has since
been dissolved. The IMSA report about countryside development and
sustainable agriculture in a time of globalisation, the so-called Breughel report,
can be downloaded here. If you prefer to receive a hardcopy version of
the report, please contact us. The report is available in both Dutch
and English. The ideas in the report have also been put into practice
in the De Meierij region in North Brabant.
